Geisfeld is on the edge of the Hermeskeil community and is halfway between Trier and Saarbrücken in the immediate vicinity (10 minutes) of the A1 motorway.

Located in the heart of the Hunsrück, Geisfeld is an ideal starting point for day trips to Trier, Saarbrücken, Idar-Oberstein, the Moselle or Luxembourg.

Or just go hiking or walking on one of the many hiking trails that start directly behind our country house and look for your place in the middle of the peace and nature of the Black Forest high forest.

Winter sports fans are also well catered for! -> The winter sports area on the Erbeskopf, with a modern snowmaking system, 3 ski slopes, 2 toboggan runs, groomed cross-country trails, a toboggan slope and a natural ice rink is only a 10-minute drive from Geisfeld.

TIP: Recently there has been a -> trail park for bikers on the Erbeskopf!

Free time activities

Just a few steps and you’re in the beautiful forests of the Black Forest High Forest. Discover the beauties of nature on your bike! Or do you love Nordic walking? The area around Geisfeld is also suitable for this. The hiking trails start right outside our door. Pack your backpack and off you go! The award-winning -> Saar-Hunsrück-Steig runs in the area.

In the small neighboring town of -> Hermeskeil or in the tourist resort -> Thalfang you have a variety of sports facilities, such as tennis, bowling, swimming (in the indoor or outdoor pool), etc.
Or drive to the highest mountain in Rhineland-Palatinate “the Erbeskopf” (10 minutes by car); in summer to the summer toboggan run and the new -> trail park for bikers and in winter to go skiing.
